Well... life is... strange... at best...

Been doing a ton of photogrpahy...
taken a few hundred thousand photos in the past few weeks... but not much of insects and spiders... so this page has been neglected.

This is my... second personality.

My main profile is where I post most of my work.

Thank you very much. :)

oh my...... your gallery is AMAZING. woah.
so how close do you have to get to these beasties? Or do you photograhp spiders in cages, or what? I wanted to do a series of spider/bug paintings (I love painting bugs! ^^) but I am way to scared to get close enough to take good shots. what is your secret.
:iconsupaidasaru:
uhm... some are in boxes some are not (older images have acrylic between the camera and the spider... the Black widows, Orb weevers and Jumping spiders and other wild ones were all done with no enclosure. the Tarantula Hawk was in a box, because he could fly pretty well. the Moth images were without. tho for everything in the future I will be trying to photograph without anything between the lens and the subject!
and as for how close... I do 1x sometimes requiring a focusing distance of 24cm (film plane to subject), and I really like to work around 3-10x and sometimes requiring me to be a 1-10 cm from a subject.
:iconsaraschool:
that is SOOOO tight.
do keep up the amazing work ^^
